The COVID-19 vaccination is an important measure to protect your health and the health of others. We provide individual vaccination counseling and on-site vaccination opportunities. We base our adivce on the recommendations of the national vaccination counsil and/or the city of Vienna.
We currently only have the vaccine Comirnaty(R) by BioNTech/Pfizer available for vaccinations in our practice.
What are the prerequesites to get vaccinated in the practice?
- You need an Austrian social security number, so we are able to register your vaccination in the national electronic vaccination registry and provide you with your vaccination certificate.
- If you have a valid public health insurance (eg. ÖGK, BVAEB, SVS, KFA) the vaccination is free of charge. If you do not have health insurance or only private health insurance, we need to charge the official fee of EUR 20,-. Otherwise you can get a vaccination free-of-charge at one of the many public vaccination sites of the City of Vienna (https://impfservice.wien/corona/).
Can children get a vaccination too?
Yes. The vaccination against COVID-19 is approved and recommended for children starting from the age of 5 years.
Children from 5-11 years receive one third of the dose of adults.

When do vaccinations take place?
I am already vaccinated, shall I get vaccinated again?
If you had your first vaccinations (one shot with COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen or two vaccinations of another manufacturer), you should get another (usually third) shot if:
- You had one vaccination with COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen more than 4 weeks ago, or
- the last dose was more than 4 months ago and you are more than 12 years old

I am not yet vaccinated, should I get a vaccination?
For most people above the age of 5 the vaccination against COVID-19 is recommended and safe. We gladly give individual advice on wether or not or when you should get a vaccination.
Is it possible to get a vaccine at home?
People that can not come to our practice due to medical reasons and live inside the Sonnwendviertel can receive their vaccination at home after a phone consultation with on of our doctors. Due to the increased time ressources necessary for this we can only provide this serive in special cases.
